Customer insight and stakeholder research
Understanding your stakeholders, customers and service users is crucial to designing and delivering services and products which meet their needs. NFER is able to engage clients’ stakeholders and customers, be they children and young people, professionals, hard to reach groups, parents, schools or the wider community.
We use a wide range of techniques to gather data, including surveys, in depth interviews, focus groups, workshops, Audience Response Systems and creative techniques. Examples of our work include:
-
A survey of teachers and telephone interviews for a major supermarket chain, to inform the development of their Corporate Social Responsibility scheme.
-
Teacher, pupil and parent surveys and school case studies for a commercial education support provider, to inform the development of their programme and provide data for marketing purposes.
-
Consultation with young people, school and college leaders, other practitioners and LA staff to inform the development of recommendations for transforming post-16 education and training provision in a local authority in North Wales.
-
A customer satisfaction survey of over 4,000 members for a professional body.
-
A consultation on the impact of the Independent Review of the Primary Curriculum on local authorities.
-
A study into very young children’s perspectives on school life, the findings and children’s drawings from which were incorporated into Continuous Professional Development materials.
