What VirTrans does

VirTrans gives those who are involved with school transport policy, budgets, organisation and provision the opportunity to keep in touch with colleagues in this area. Through VirTrans you can

  • share school transport information
  • seek school transport information
  • identify useful contacts
  • alert others to new initiatives
  • open up a discussion
  • promote publications or conferences

How VirTrans works

VirTrans is run by Mailtalk, a mailing list service run by the JISCmail team, situated at CCLRC's Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. The Mailtalk service runs LISTSERV software.

When you join VirTrans your details are added to the list held on the Mailtalk computer. You then get all email messages sent to the list by other members; you can send a reply to the list (and so to all members) or just to one person on the list. You can leave the list at any time.

VirTrans archive

Messages are stored by Mailtalk; they can be searched on a secure area of Mailtalk's website by VirTrans members.
