Sigrid works on projects which provide policy makers and the wider education community with information about education policy and structures in Europe. She is Head of the Eurydice Unit for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, part of a network established by the European Commission and EU Member States to support European cooperation in the field of education. She has worked on Eurydice comparative studies and national descriptions on a very wide range of themes including school autonomy; modern languages at school; teaching reading; measures to integrate immigrant children into school; higher education governance; higher education and the Bologna process; and adult education.
Sigrid is also Book Review Editor for the Education Research Journal, a peer-reviewed journal edited at the NFER with a broad scope and an international readership.
