Palak has extensive experience in using analytical techniques from descriptive statistics to more sophisticated multivariate analysis like regression and multilevel modelling. Whilst leading statistical analysis of the research projects for clients such as the DCSF/DfE, HEFCE, NCSL, LSC (now SFA and ypla), she has used wide-ranging datasets including attitudinal survey data and pupil attainment data. Her experience includes analysing data for longitudinal evaluation projects, randomised control trials, test equating and age standardisation. Most recently, she has worked extensively within the C4EO data team to develop an interactive data tool.

Palak is skilled at presenting technical findings through accessible visual forms. She is an expert in presenting benchmarking and trend data via use of mapping tools. She combines her technical expertise with the knowledge of qualitative research to focus on the important research questions and illustrating the most suitable outcomes and insights from the data. Previously Palak worked with the Institute of Education for a DCSF (now DfE) funded project ‘Impact of School Leadership on Pupil Outcomes’. In her previous role as a Quantitative Researcher at the Learning and Skills Network, she analysed large and complex datasets of post 16 learners.
